Clark Clipson Music

I’m a songwriter and musician living in San Diego.  

Growing up, I fell in love with music while falling asleep listening to the radio.  I learned to play piano and drums.   I played in rock bands when I was younger, blues bands in my 50’s.  I wrote my first song when I was 17 after being initially inspired by songwriters like James Taylor, Elton John, Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne.  I wrote many songs in college and while traveling in India. 

 I continued to write songs off and on over the years while working as a forensic psychologist.  In 2020, with my wife's encouragement, I began writing songs more consistently.  She saw how I come alive in a different way when I nurture this part of who I am, and I can never thank her enough for her support.  

In addition to writing songs with lyrics, I also like to write instrumental music that has electronic, jazz and folk influences.
